100% Satisfaction

Walau pun kami penat meredah heavy traffic di highway both ways from Shah Alam – Bertam – Shah Alam but it really made me truly, truly happy. We arrived at my house around 11pm ++ after 5 hrs on the road. All my life in Penang I’ve been wanting to feel the hype of the traffic from South to North during festive seasons tapi tak pernah merasa coz we’ve always gone down from Penang – KL coz my parents originates from Selangor. Pastu masa belum kawin lagi, I always took AirAsia to fly, mmg my parents tak kasi I drive alone..kiranya mmg tak pernah merasa la. Tapi sejak dah kawin ni, I’m always eager to join the crowd hehe..jadi jakun jap. Yes, mmg penat. Lelebih lagi last Thursday, dahla kete byk, perut lapo..sampai Tapah kul 8pm the food that we wanna eat sume dah sold out. Nak makan nasik ayam, habis, nak makan sandwich tuna from Dunkin Donut habis, KFC plak long que…last2 mkn hot dog yg tak sedap je utk buat syarat b4 we headed back on the road to Penang. Tp once dah sampai Penang…it was heavenly all the way!

For Aidiladha, my mum cooked rendang daging, nasik impit, rendang ayam, sambal tumis ikan bilis and kuah kacang. Dah lama gila tak dpt rasa my mum’s masakan, mmg awal2 dah booking with her to do this dish for me huhu. Masa raya aritu merasa MIL’s cooking walaupun deep down hati sayu teringatkan keluarga sendiri Kali ni mmg beround-round tambah walaupun dah kuar masuk toilet perut tekejut tp pedulikkan!

And then after Friday prayers, it’s a normal routine for my family if we don’t have anywhere else to go to travel, we would stay one night at any hotels at Feringghi Beach. Berlagak mcm tourist la katekan dtg dari jauh nii..kena cross the Penang Bridge jugak kira jauh la tu..so we all stayed at Holiday Inn. Bilik best dpt sea view with balcony. Makanan pun best. Pepetang test skill camera dekat tepi laut, jln2 amik angin sambil exercise..pastu after dat dine in kat hotel itself with delicious food. Pastu mlm tu layan final episod Nur Kasih sambil bergolek2 atas katil king size yg empuk itu..and then headed off to the night market downstairs. Beli 1 CD je..Papadom huhu.

Then the next day after check out, my parents brought us to this restaurant at Batu Maung (Restoran Pen Mutiara – 100% recommended!!) which serves absolutely delicious food yg specialitynya is kari kepala ikan. Mmg keje kitorang makan, makan and makan je the whole weekend. Dats y I said I am 100% satisfied..delicious food, and it’s sponsored by the parents hehe except for the hotel room ye..gue masih hutang lagi dgn mak ku hehe. Let the pictures do the talking la ye.

This is what we ate during our dine in at the hotel :

a) I had rice with sweet sour fish. Serious sedap. Malas nak amik typical hotel dish..wanted kelainan hehe.

b) Hubby had “From the Fisherman’s Basket” which was basically fried seafood in a basket..

c) My mum’s chicken rice is the most tempting..my mum said Holiday Inn’s chicken rice mmg sedap pun. Even looking at the pic pun kita dpt rasakan it’s yummy kan?

d) Tapi plg takleh lawan is this dish…3 org berebut makan..mementang la it’s sponsored by Baskin Robbins

Skang ni dah malas nak blog. Mcm lebih suka berinteraksi real life, face to face dgn org rather than virtual..tp malangnya tak jmp sesape pon huhu. Tade ke kengkawan nak singgah umah den, borak² kosong mkn biskut kering ke..kengkadang bosan la menaip je. Serious.

Dulu sketnya malas nak join geng mak² budak, terasa betul tersesat dgn golongan tua. Skang ni, rasa makin selesa, lelebih lagi ada rakan seperjuangan kat ofis yg senior 2 bulan bab preggy ni, puas mendengar cite dia je la. Dgr dia pegi warehouse sale, dgr alkisah perut dia mengeras. Skang diri sendiri tgh mengalami keadaan tu. Perut mengeras = anak sedang lapar. Baru terasa cam ooh berilmu pengetahuan jugak aku ni. It’s hard when most of your frens are still not married, esp bila tempoh preggy camni..nak turn to them kang terasa cam aku ni tak abeh2 dok cite pasal hal preggy je, nak cite sal mende lain..pun tatau nak share ape sgt dah. Susah kan. Sama la mcm dlm blog ni gak..tatau nak cite ape dah..coz I am not who I was before..org mungkin suka kita bercerita masa kita zaman suka ria tgh prepare sal wedding, tgh honeymoon, tgh shopping..tp kalo sebut tang real adulthood matters, org mcm kureng sket nak baca..betul tak? Tak sabar nak tunggu 26hb ni. Gaji masuk. Balik Penang setelah beberapa bulan dah tak balik dah. Pastu release of New Moon! Mmg la takkan tgk dlm jangka masa 26-30 Nov ni..but I’m excited. Can’t wait to see Jacob!

It’s 1.5cc, 7 seater tp kat depan bole duduk 3 org so considered 8 seater la. Size and height lebih kurang sama mcm Grand Lavina. Harga dlm 65K gitu..open for booking. Kitorang dah tanya Perodua salesman..tp tatau lagi nak proceed ke tak.

Deep down masih inginkan Honda City, tp demi the future of lil one…….mcm kena sacrifice je.

A lil note to lil one..

Dear lil one,

Last night the three of us; lil one, daddy and mummy went to see Atok, Nenek & Pak Chu at KLCC right after mummy arrived home from work. It was raining the whole journey back from work and I knew the roads would be jammed en route to KLCC. Mummy’s concern was only for your well being as you’re used to having your dinner by 7pm but we had to extend our dinner time till we reach our venue. Mummy was already cranky when Nenek called up asking where we were when Mummy have jussstt entered the house to change her attire. Nak mandi pun tak sempat, and knowing Mummy the first thing I would do each time I arrive home from work or anywhere is to have a shower. Rimas dear..nanti lil one ikut perangai Mummy eh, jgn ikut perangai Daddy, atuk, nenek, Pak Chu yg bole berilek sakan depan tv berjam2 dgn baju yg sama b4 having their shower

As expected, the journey from our house to KLCC took 1 1/2hrs due to the jam. Dah la Daddy pakai perfume Tommy yg sgt busuk bagi Mummy. Sepanjang masa Mummy kene tutup hidung dgn lengan sweater tu, dahla Mummy dah kena jangkit selsema from Daddy..tu pun xleh filter lagi bau perfume yg harum semerbak tu. Salah Mummy jugak..a few days back Mummy ckp bau tu sedap out of all perfume yg Daddy pakai, so Daddy ingat he is the most handsome guy in d world la last nite but this time round oooh not acceptable dear, not acceptable~! Mummy rasa cam nak suruh Daddy strip himself out from the sweater and throw it out at the Federal Highway je..yes, I was that cranky. Nenek called AGAIN asking where we were..kita baru je melepasi Midvalley masa tu..arghh tension~! Luckily my estimation that we’ll arrive in 30min was correct..tu pun after Mummy ask Daddy to hit the pedals and swerve from left to right hehe. Daddy plak kejenya dok usap perut Mummy je sambil drive and he asked the both of us to be patient..jappp lagi nak sampai katanya.

Atok & nenek ada keje kat KL Convention Centre pasal tu dorang sume ada kat sini sayang..Daddy tau Mummy homesick, dats also why he was so eager to let us go to KLCC when Mummy was already drained out from driving and hidung tersumbat. We all ate at Manhattan Fish Market last night. Bagus la lil one ni..suka makan ikan ye. Mummy yg request nak makan situ. Since Daddy fobia makan ikan dat looks physically like a fish, yes he is DAT weird..hehe, dia sorang je makan Grilled Platter for One..fish tu bentuk nugget, kurang la sket features dia. The rest makan fish & chips je. Dah lama gileeeeeee Mummy tak makan sini. Memula cuak gak coz I cannot stand the smell of food outlets at shopping complex but yesterday both of us could accept it. Alhamdulillah, kenyang kan kita berdua syg

Nenek ajak singgah hotel kejap. Hotel Impiana namanya..while the rest lepak2 in the room, Mummy being typical Mummy said to Nenek yg Mummy nak mandi! hahaha. Bila lagi kita nak mandi air panas kan..kat rumah tade water heater, bila balik umah atok nenek je baru kita dpt rasa air panas..bes gile mandiiiii..at 10pm we said our goodbyes to them, coz we need to head home. Daddy has to work today, Mummy dpt green lite dari bos Mummy utk cuti arini..hehe bukan Mummy nak cuti pon tp dia bagi..oh citenya panjang sket, tp kesimpulannya I’m typing this from home

Oh this is supposed to be a short note kan..ngee tp biasala reputation Mummy dlm my blog ni suke meleret panjang sket..kalo tak panjang tu tak sah kata kawan2 Mummy haha..Daddy pun malas nak cek blog Mummy pasal hal ni la..huwaa wat to do sayang..kenot find a full stop yet la.

Ok nak abeh dah ni…arini result UPSR kuar. Pak Chu yg amik periksa tu..hopefully by the time you’re his age, UPSR tu dah dimansuhkan ye hehehe. Buat saspen Mummy je nanti lil one nak periksa besar. Hiks. Pak Chu ni, kalo lil one nak tau is a 12 year old kid but still acts like a Standard 1 kiddo. Slalue akak, atok and nenek mati akal coz slamber dek dieee je whenever he does things esp on his studies. Dia dapat 78 pun dia bangga coz last time round he got 76. Bole tak camtu? tsk tsk…dulu Mummy masa sekolah rendah, atok slalue pressure Mummy. Result sume kena 90 – 100. Kalo ada yg terkucil dpt 85, terketar-ketar Mummy bila masuk kete nak bagitau result. Tp dgn Pak Chu ni he is soo damn lucky coz he is consistently unpredictable that atok malas nak amik port dah..cit. To prove my point, he got 5As today for UPSR. Haha mcm klakar gila coz everyone’s reaction from atok, nenek, Mummy and even Daddy himself sume ckp HAHHHHHH when we got the news. Nenek went HAH when Pak Chu’s teacher called her up, I went HAH when Pak Chu smsed me and Daddy also went HAHH when I called him hehe..dat is your Pak Chu dear…now we all have to crack our heads what to give him for his surprising achievement..tapi again Pak Chu is one lucky lad, baru bape minggu abeh UPSR, atok & nenek dah bwk dia pegi UK to visit your…your ape eh..well, my cousin hehe. Kira yg pakcik sedare la kan? Kalo Mummy la….tadenya dpt dat luxurious treatment. Pfft..Mummy punya proposal nak beli Honda City for the 3 of us pun dah kene reject 4 kali dah dgn atok..camne ni lil one..nanti lil one kuar pujuk sket atok tu suh lembut ati sket bleh hehe..kita kikis duit dia nanti time raya eh..hik hik hik.

Okla mummy stop here ye. Arini tetibe mummy muntah balik la..nape eh lil one? mummy pun mcm confused, pasal angin and migraine ke pasal 2nd trimester ni? kita kan dah stop puking since 3 weeks back..musykil, musykil. Lil one be a good baby ye…jgn meragam sgt. Mummy tetiap hari migraine sejak sebulan ni..part of the pregnancy process, penat tau huhu. Till next time…

Terseksa zahir dan batin

I have 30mins left before lunch time and my sweater and working pants are full of cookie debris..comot gila aku makan.

This is basically how I am everyday at work. If my car needs refueling, in the morning when I head to work I’ll buy anything on the counter at the nearest Petronas, walaupun tak sedap mana I know I have to eat either a nasik lemak/nasik goreng/sandwich along with a small bottle of Orange Sunkist/Ribena/Yeos Soya drink. Sometimes when I’ve had enough of Petronas food, I will inform my colleague to buy the most sinful nasik lemak I’ve ever tasted coz nasik dahla menimbun, walaupun I ask for nasik lemak biasa je, but the combination of the sambal and the telur rebus and the nasik yg berlemak tu ooh soooo sinful that 30mins later mata den dah jadi kuyu coz ngantuk hahaa. Before I head to the petrol station, the first think I would do when I wake up is to head straight to the kitchen and eat a bowl of cereal. Tak mandi tak gosok gigi lagi tu, celik mata je terus ngapppppp makan. Hehe then baru mandi. Before I head out, if there is a bun or bread, I will eat a slice spread with butter.  Once i’m at the office, every 2 hours I’ll be munching a cookie, a sandwich, a chewing gum, a Mentos, a small packet of Twisties, a fruit. Basically I will be eating.

Mcm rojak sket kan paragraph atas tu. Huhu sorry.

But the one and only dish that I constantly yearn to eat, tahap dah merengek² dah dgn sang suami complaining to him that it’s SO BLOODY HARD for me to eat is….

sweet sour fish!

Both husband and I are not fish lovers. He totally loathe fish, masih saiko lagi dgn alkisah silam zaman kekanak tercekik tulang ikan terus dibannya ikan from his menu for the rest of his life. He only eats sardine and ikan bilis and fish nugget/fillet hehe. I on the other hand, prefers ikan yg berkuah. So, I only eat sweet sour fish and kari ikan besides sardine la. I’m not a fan of ikan goreng, ikan bakar, ikan ape saja la. Soooo…….I dunno why since I got preggy, the need for SSF  (short form for sweet sour fish ye, bukan kedai deco tu tau!) has been increasing like mad. Sesket nak ikan, sesket nak ikan..hubby dah menggaru pale how la to satisfy the wife because :

a) Kedai tomyam like Vicchuda at my housing area sells gigantic siakap masam manis like the pic above. I asked the price, it’s about RM38. Ish tak kuasa aku nak spend sebanyak tu and eat dat huge fish all by myself..

b) I can’t cook. Dah enter 2nd trimester pon I can’t enter the kitchen. I can’t cook, kenot tahan bau, kenot tahan bau nasik tengah masak, so for me to cook the dish on my own is OUT.

c) Hubby still doesn’t have the courage to cook the dish yet.

d) the only kedai that has sweet sour fish in variety of sizes and jenis ikan..could be tenggiri, bawal, kembung cut in small pieces is only at Seri TTDI @ TTDI Jaya which we could only go during the weekend. Imagine my ordeal having to wait for 5-6 days before dapat ngap seciput ikan? Urghh.

There was an instance that he actually drove all the way from his work place on a working day to that place, just to tapau that dish for me hehehe..parents plak kali ni jarang plak balik Shah Alam, if not bole heret dorang mkn siakap..huwaaa!

But everyday my need for food changes. Like now, I want karipap. Yes karipap. Kat mana la nak dpt karipap at 11 in the morning? hehe. And I want cokodok pisang. Gahhh tension gile! And then I specifically wants karipap sold by anyone out there yg berniaga di tepi jalan bwh payung kaler²..tanak dari kedai mkn ke frozen food ke petronas ke..nak dari bwh payung..howwwwwwww laaaaaaaa. Cokodok pisang plak I want my dad’s cokodok yg bulat² itu.

Sigh. I guess i’m really homesick.

Hubby now is doing all the cooking at home, serious kagum dgn dia. Aku ni during the 2mths of marriage, tetiap kali nak masak mesti ada resepi kat tepi. Dia? main campak je..tak refer to anything. Kagum gila. He always ask me what I want to eat so that he can try to cook, but the thing is..I only want SSF, SSF, SSF..huhu so even though dia masak udang ke sotong ke ayam ke daging ke..it’s still not fulfilling to me. Kesian kan..sometimes makan bape suap je pastu tak lalu dah..sian dia. Luckily he understands..tak kecik ati dgn bini dia.

Ok..it’s lunch time now…time to go out to hunt for food walaupun I have no idea wat to eat
