As what I had mentioned in my previous post, last Saturday the both of us went to Pameran Perkahwinan at Midvalley Exhibition Centre just to check out how it is. We have been to previous pameran but it was a let down so we didn’t put (well maybe I didn’t put) much hope for this time round but I was wrong..it was worth going there and it was packed with people..Mcm bes je tgk because those who went there sumenye ada target yg sama, nak survey pape yg patut for their big day..ada yg bakal bertunang, ada yg bakal berkahwin..mcm sweet je tgk memasing jln dengan kapel memasing hehe..(mcm ckp pasal diri sendiri nampak!)
Kitorang pn mcm blur2 gak coz we dun exactly know what to look for since we didn’t have any tentative month or date to inform people if we’re interested in their services but our target on that day was to look for either wedding cards, door gifts or wedding boutiques that offered baju Jawa..u know mcm stail Ning Baizura pakai tuu.. tang baju tu ada mmg la ada dah Jovian himself had his booth there AND the said baju was there on display tp sungguh la daku tade duit utk menggunakan perkhidmatan die hehe. His promo for the exhibition was RM500 off for all of his packages, tak kesah la ko nak wat baju nikah saje ke, nak buat persalinan tuk dedue org ke, he can design ur clothes there and then..tp kalo mampu bagus la..kalo tak mampu takat jadi jakun la mcm “eh2 tu Jovian la” hahah..and the good catch was that he collaborated together with Candid Syndrome. Who doesn’t know them right? I didn’t really pay much attention to what was the package all about but what I know is if u picked one of the selected packages, u also will have them as ur official photographer for ur particular event.
So we headed on to other available booths, ada la satu dua yg menarik perhatian for the wedding cards and door gifts..but we’re still putting it as KIV. Nanti la next year in January baru start bebetul because tentatively I think my big day will be in May 2009..but then one thing for sure, whatever that u decide to do whether its menempah baju, menempah kad, menempah photographer, ALWAYS BOOK WITH THEM 4 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING DATE.
Ok now here’s the juicy part of the story! We were heading out from the exhibition centre thinking that ok, we’ve done our survey let’s just head out but then tetibe je at the exit point I said to him “eh yang..bleh tak u pegi jap kat booth Candid tuu and amik a few brochures from there, I tunggu kat cni eh..” tetibe je tau bcoz sebenarnya daku dah ada pilihan sendiri utk photographer so mcm tak tergerak ati pon nak tgk keje org lain EGO la katekan. So he headed off la blur2 je mana la booth awek aku ckp ni (sedangkan its so obvious depan mata die), tgk die jalan lambat sgt, I followed him rather than menunggu kat exit tu. Skali u know what happened? We ended up sitting at the booth and we decided to hire them for our pre-wedding outdoor photoshoot.
Actually their prices are very reasonable during the promo, they too dropped RM500 from their actual price, ikutkan ati mmg la lagi senang amik one shot je from akad nikah-reception-bertandang but ya ampun venue ku di Penang yaa..harap maklum, nak sediakan flight tickets and accomodation lagi sungguh la lari dari bajetku..and then some more bertandang at his side will be very d simple, sgt tak berbaloi for us to hire a big shot name to take pictures of us. .Hehe mmg sgt simple la..ni bukan penghinaan kat belah tunangku ye, it’s a fact which he too agrees bcoz the scenario will be like this. Kompang starts, pengantin jln dlm 10 langkah, pegi kat pelamin for like less than 10min, kuarga terdekat merenjis, then jln tak sampai 5 langkah pegi kat meja mkn beradap and dats it..haha soo tak berbaloi kan?
So while I still contemplate on which photographer to take for the reception on my side, we decided to take the pre-wedding outdoor package, so takyah ada official photographer at his side. Tadaaa..walaupun tatau lagi bile nak kawinnya but the session will take place most probably in March/April 2009..
Now I need ur help. Pre-wedding shoot is up to the client, the venue, the dressing is all up to us. They will just snap2 our pics during the 3-4hrs duration. I haven’t decided on which photographer to take and the venue.
Here are the things I need u guys to help me out:
1. Could u please go to their official website –> look for their senior photographers ( I think there’s about 6 of them) –> look through their work and feel free to comment which u think has the best quality of work.
2. Venue – it has to be outdoor for sure, and it has to be within the KL-Selangor radius, tanak la p jejauh sgt. I dun want the typical sawah padi but I dun mind the sea or any taman. My venue in mind is Taman Tasik Perdana..what do u think?
3. Attire – do u think I should wear the traditional Malay wedding dress(baju nikah, songket, or maybe Jawa attire) or should I just dress down? I was thinking to just wear kebaya Nyonya je..senang sket panas2 terik camtu..after all it’s pre-wedding tatau pon baju dah siap ke blum hehehe
I know it’s still far away..but then I’m the type of person who plans well in advance. Bile senang dpt gambaran, senang nak plan..senang nak carik baju, senang nak jaga badan lagi hehehe..thanks eh people
